Early Morning
You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. There will be a day tour of Nairobi city where you will – Visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to see the baby elephants and baby Rhinos., Giraffe Centre (a conservation institution that’s a World famous Nature Education Centre that has over the years helped in rescuing the endangered Rothschild giraffes).
You will finish off with the Bomas of Kenya cultural centre where there are numerous homesteads (bomas) that reflect the culture of the various tribes and this has created a living museum. Each boma has been built to the original traditional architecture of an African home, similar to that of their ancestors. (Entrance fees payable directly)

Early morning drive to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch. Amboseli is a top safari and sight-seeing location. This is where you can see large herds of elephants and plains game, giraffes, gazelles, lions, leopards among others roaming the plains. Although Mount Kilimanjaro lies in Tanzania, the most impressive views of its snow-capped peak are to be found in Amboseli, where it serves as a stunning safari backdrop.

Whole day of game drives in Amboseli park-also known as “the land of giants” for the large elephants and the majestic Mt Kilimanjaro. Spotting large herds of elephants and game, giraffes, gazelles, lions, leopards etc roaming the plains is common.

Morning game drive as we leave and transfer to Naivasha, lunch at the Rift Valley escarpment and overnight at Elsamere Field Study Centre. Elsamere is the former home of the late Joy Adamson of Born Free fame, a haven for lovers of nature, set on the banks of Lake Naivasha. Check-in to the lodge dormitories and visit the museum including a slide show.

Climb Mount Longonot, an extinct volcano that was created as a result of the volcanic eruptions that formed the Great Rift Valley. As you climb, you will pass herds of grazing wildlife or watch buffalo and other animals as they cross the crater floor. Views of Lake Naivasha and the valley itself are not to be missed. Hot springs and steam seep through vents in the solid lava.
After lunch, visit a local school to interact with the teachers and children and learn something about Kenya’s education system.

Morning game drive and walk in Hell’s Gate National Park. Hell’s Gate is famous for its natural hot geysers, and eagle and vulture breeding grounds. Zebras, baboons and gazelles are common sights and occasionally cheetahs, leopards and ostrich are encountered. Hell’s Gate is one of the few game reserves where visitors can explore by foot and walk amongst the elands, zebras and hartebeest. Fischer’s Tower, formerly a volcanic plug, is a column of volcanic rock named after a German explorer who explored the Hell’s Gate area in 1882.
In the afternoon we have a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, a freshwater Rift Valley lake famous for its variety of birds including the African fish eagle, herons, etc. Animals that can be found in or around the waters of Lake Naivasha include giraffes, buffalo and hippos with Colobus monkeys calling from the treetops.

Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for a whole day’s game drives. Lake Nakuru is a small park famous for the flamingoes and several other water birds. It is also home to a huge variety of wildlife including rhino, lion, leopard and giraffe. Late afternoon you drive back to Elsamere.

After breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve via Narok. Lunch then afternoon game drive in the reserve that is famous for its large concentration of wildlife as well as bird life. It is the natural prolongation of Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.

Full day’s game drives in the Mara. An early morning start gives you the best opportunity to see the big 5 and the rest of the plains game.
